AirPlx Mobile
Mobile app for airport ramp operations, where I am one of the principal engineers building features and fixing bugs. Line crews see the live base view, run per-airframe pre-tow safety checklists, complete walkaround inspections and file damage reports at the aircraft. Already in production at around a dozen customer bases.
Technologies
AirPlx Mobile brings the whole base onto the ramp. Built with React Native and Expo for iOS and Android, it gives the line crew and the front desk the same live picture of every aircraft, replaces radio calls and remembered procedures with checklists in hand, and logs every event automatically so it lands in reports without anyone chasing paperwork. Designed for the conditions of the job: buttons big enough to hit with gloves on, type readable in bright sun, and offline support for when there is no signal on the ramp. I work on it as one of the principal engineers, shipping features and fixing bugs alongside the rest of the AirPlx team.

Challenges
Building for people wearing gloves in bright sun with unreliable connectivity meant rethinking the interface and the data layer at once: oversized touch targets and high-contrast type on the front end, and offline-first sync on the back end so records written at the aircraft reconcile cleanly once the device reconnects.
